About VITON:
 

VITON fluororubbers are capable of operating at high temperatures, when they offer physical and mechanical properties superior to most other elastomers. The increase of temperature has relatively little effect on the oil resistance and chemical resistance of fluorine rubber. Even after continuous aging in 204C or intermittent aging in 260C oven, fluororubbers will maintain a certain elasticity. The operating conditions at high temperatures are usually 232°Cx3000h, 260°Cx100h, 288°Cx240h, and 316°Cx48h.


In all the industrial elastomers, fluorine rubber resistance to liquid and chemical media performance is better than any non-fluorine elastomer, it has excellent oil resistance, aviation fuel resistance, lubricant resistance, resistance to most mineral oils. Fluorine rubber has very low permeability for most substances, and also has excellent performance in low antioxidant automotive fuel penetration. Aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons are common solvents for elastomers, but VITON rubber has good durability against them.
