Sanitary gaskets are used primarily in sanitary piping systems for food, dairy, beverage, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and other industries for sealing clamp connections. Available in NBR, FKM, EPDM, Silicone, and PTFE. These materials are FDA compliant and some are USP Class VI certified.

Sanitary gaskets are designed to provide a perfectly hygienic seal to reduce bacteria counts, maintain or enhance product integrity, and ensure that the inner diameter of the gasket matches the inner diameter of the pipe. These gaskets meet CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) and comply with USDA and 3-A sanitary standards.

Features

Material: Common materials include high-performance rubbers, such as silicone rubber, fluoro rubber, EPDM, etc., that are chemically resistant and non-toxic.

Shape: Mostly geometric shapes such as round and oval, and sealed with pipes, tanks, valves, etc.

Sealing performance: It can effectively block the entry of liquids, gases, and microorganisms to ensure a pollution-free production process.

Hygiene: The surface is smooth, there is no falling debris, and it can be cleaned and disinfected frequently without causing product contamination.

Temperature resistance: It can withstand various use environments from low temperature to high temperature (commonly -40°C to 200°C).

Chemical resistance: It can resist corrosion from chemicals such as acids, alkalis, and organic solvents.

High-pressure resistance: It can withstand a working pressure of 6-10 bar.
