What is Auto Air Filter Housing AEM Rubber Gasket
Auto Air Filter Housing AEM Rubber Gasket is a component used to seal the car air filter cover. It's usually made of elastic material and is designed to fit snugly around the air cleaner cover to prevent dust, dirt, and other impurities from entering the engine.
Its function is to ensure a tight connection between the air filter and the filter housing, preventing unfiltered air from bypassing the filter and entering the engine, thereby protecting the engine from pollutants. It plays an important role in vehicle maintenance and air filter replacement, ensuring the normal operation and performance of the filter system.
AEM Rubber
Ethylene-acrylic monomer is a terpolymer of ethylene, methyl acrylate, and an acid-containing monomer as a cure site.
It is the modern alternative to HNBR but far more cost-effective. It is also the perfect alternative when you want to use NBR or PVC/NBR but with a higher and lower operating temperature than nitrile whilst still giving excellent oil resistance.
AEM can replace silicone in certain applications especially high volume requirements where economies of scale are required.
AEM Ethylene Acrylic Elastomer offers high heat resistance, excellent ozone and weather resistance, low-temperature flexibility and high tensile strength as the polymer backbone is fully saturated.
It also has excellent vibration dampening, excellent heat aging characteristics, and good dynamic property retention over a wide, temperature range.
Because of the acrylic monomer, it is resistant to oils, transmission fluids, water, glycol mixtures, and alkalis.
AEM is resistant to heat to 150°C and has a low-temperature resistance between -29°C and -40°C. The balance of ethylene and acrylic monomer in the polymer determines the low-temperature properties.
It is not suitable for use with ketones, fuels, brake fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, or phosphate esters.
Typical applications are air management, vacuum and engine breathers, and oil hoses to meet the high modern under-bonnet temperatures including high-volume air intakes where EPDM does not meet temperature requirements. It is also used for de-aeration hoses and certain charge air cooler systems.

Sealing principle
The sealing principle of Auto Air Filter Housing AEM Rubber Gasket is mainly based on elasticity and compressibility. When the AEM rubber gasket is installed on the air filter cover, it is deformed by pressure and forms a tight sealing surface. Due to the high elasticity and compressibility of the AEM rubber gasket, it can adapt to various uneven or irregular surfaces and form a stable sealing effect under pressure.
In addition, the special material and structural design of the AEM rubber gasket also provide it with better sealing performance. The gasket is made of special synthetic rubber material with high elasticity, oil resistance, and high-temperature resistance, which can resist the impact of various harsh environments on sealing performance. Gaskets are usually designed to be dustproof, shockproof, and anti-corrosion, and can effectively prevent dust, dirt, and other impurities from entering the engine.
Optimize your engine performance with an air filter housing gasket
The air filter housing gasket is an important component in forming a seal between the air filter housing and the engine. It prevents unfiltered air from entering the engine, ensuring only clean and filtered air reaches the combustion chamber. Worn or damaged gaskets can cause a variety of problems, including reduced engine performance, reduced fuel efficiency, and increased emissions.
By replacing your air cleaner housing gasket with our quality OEM equivalent, you can optimize your engine's performance and avoid potential problems. Our gaskets are designed to fit seamlessly, providing an airtight seal that prevents contaminants from bypassing the air filter and damaging your engine.
