What are HNBR Rubber Packer Elements
The HNBR Rubber Packer Elements is designed for downhole completions, where it serves as a critical component in isolating different zones within the wellbore. It is engineered using high-quality hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR), a material known for its exceptional resistance to heat, oil, and chemicals. Our advanced HNBR compound ensures that the packer element can withstand harsh downhole conditions, including high temperatures and exposure to hydrocarbons, without compromising its sealing capabilities.
Sealing structure and purpose
All packer mandrels (bodies) have three key attributes:
- The slip is wedge-shaped and covered with teeth (wickers) that grip the casing when the item is set.
- The beveled surface matching the back of the slip is called the cone. This is designed to push the slip into the casing when the proper setting force is applied.
- The packing element is the elastomer sealing element that creates the seal between its exterior and the inner wall of the casing.
Packer elements serve several purposes:
- Partially supporting weight for the down-hole tubing.
- Improving the well flow and production rate.
- Separating different producing zones.
- Enhancing safety by limiting well control to tubing at the surface.
- Holding fluid for well servicing in the casing annulus.
- Preventing the downhole movement of the tubing string.
- Guarding the annular casing from corrosion caused by the fluids and high pressures.
Types
Retrievable tension packer elements support medium to shallow-depth production or injection operations. These have a set of unidirectional slips gripping just the casing in situations with a tension load on the tubing. Level tubing tension energizes the objects. This category is set mechanically and released with tube rotation. The majority of the models come with emergency shear release in the event the primary release method fails.
Tension packers are applicable in situations where the pressure underneath is at all times higher than the annulus pressure located at the tool. This upward pressure forces the items into the slip assembly to maintain the tension.
Retrievable compression packer elements with fluid bypass are ideal for low and medium-pressure oil and gas drilling environments at medium temperatures. A mechanical interlock keeps the component from setting. While it runs in the hole, tubing rotation activates the element. Drag blocks located on the object hold it in position and provide the resistance necessary to set it. When the interlock is released, lowering the tubing string permits the closure of the bypass seal and setting of slips. Applying continuous slack-off force creates the seal by energizing the products. The release is accomplished simply by pulling up on the tubing string.
This option possesses an exceptional ability to withstand amplified pressures and temperatures than the tension alternatives. The bypass valve improves the packer's capacity to equalize pressures found in the tubing and the annulus and makes it easier to release the implement. Continuous compression or tubing weight is necessary to ensure the bypass valve stays closed. These are not suited for injection wells or minimum volume pressure treating operations.

Advantages
- Packer elements, commonly known as rubber bucket products on the market, have high toughness & cushioning characteristics and are used to protect the drilling pipeline from collision with the pipe wall.
- One of the key advantages of HNBR rubber packer elements is its ability to maintain a reliable seal under high pressure and temperature conditions. This makes it an ideal choice for applications where maintaining zonal isolation is crucial for maximizing production efficiency and reservoir management.
- The exclusive manufacturing technology of extrusion and processing of packer elements greatly reduces the risk of hidden voids, streamlining, and gate extension, thus prolonging the service life of products and reducing expensive equipment downtime.
- HNBR rubber packer elements are compatible with a variety of completion tools. High expansion and extrusion resistance. Broad temperature range capability including high pressure, and high temperature.
- Packer elements are used between sections of oil and gas production tubing to prevent fluids and pressure from leaking through the joints. This protects the casing, production tubing, liner, and wellbore wall above and below the producing zone.
Packing and shipping
1: Express: S.F., DHL, UPS, TNT, FedEx, etc., for urgent and small orders.
2: Air shipment: air port to air port or airport to door.
3: Sea shipment: suitable for bulk goods. it will take more longer time than air shipment.
