Introduction
Steering machine oil seal is used in automobile power steering systems. Its function is to prevent dust, sand, and water from entering the steering system, maintain gear lubrication, and ensure the normal operation of the power steering system.
The inner diameter back-up ring design enhances the pressure resistance of the oil seal. The lip is designed with an oil groove to return the sealing oil body to the oil side, preventing oil leakage and reducing friction and temperature rise.

How to replace the Steering machine oil seal
Open the engine compartment cover, find the steering gear booster pump, remove the high-pressure pipe and oil return pipe connected to it, then jack up the vehicle, remove the front wheel, and remove the bolts connecting the steering knuckle and gear rack.
Clean the dust and dirt on the surface of the removed steering gear. Then loosen the dust boot and disassemble the steering gear and lever. Then remove the inner circlip limiter and use a special tool to remove the old steering oil seal.
Follow the reverse steps to install the steering gear that has replaced the steering gear oil seal to the vehicle, and connect the high-pressure pipe and oil return pipe. Then start the engine, bleed the air from the hydraulic system, and check for oil leakage or abnormal noise.
