Overview of Viton lip seals
Viton is a synthetic rubber containing fluorine atoms with very stable chemical properties. Viton lip seals are sealing elements made from this material that provide reliable sealing performance in extreme environments due to their unique physical and chemical properties.
Material properties
Chemical resistance: Viton is extremely resistant to most chemicals, including acids, bases, solvents, and oxidizing agents.
High-temperature resistance: Able to work continuously in temperatures up to 200 to 260 degrees Celsius, some specially formulated fluoroelastomers can even withstand higher temperatures.
Low-temperature resistance: Maintains good flexibility even at very low temperatures, typically in the range of -20 to -40 degrees Celsius.
Oil resistance: Good resistance to various oils, suitable for use in oil environments.
Aging resistance: Fluoroelastomers are resistant to the effects of ozone, ultraviolet rays, and atmospheric aging over time.
