Respirator Seals

Respirator seals in diving equipment are important components that ensure an effective seal between the diver's respirator and the mask or gas bottle. This prevents water from entering the respirator while ensuring the reliability and safety of the gas supply.

Respirator seals are usually made of soft, flexible materials such as silicone or rubber. These materials are good at resisting corrosion, abrasion, and cold and can maintain sealing performance in diving environments.

Depending on the type and design of diving equipment, respirator seals can be divided into the following types:

• Mask Seal: The mask seal is located between the diving mask and respirator, ensuring an effective seal between the mask and the diver's face. Mask seals are often made from soft materials, such as silicone, to accommodate different face shapes and sizes and provide a comfortable fit.

• Secondary Regulator Seal: The second-stage regulator is part of the diving rebreather used to deliver high-pressure gas from the cylinder to the diver. The secondary regulator seal is located between the regulator's inlet and outlet ports to ensure that gas does not leak during normal operation. 

• Gas cylinder interface seal: The gas cylinder interface seal is located between the diving respirator and the gas cylinder to ensure a reliable seal between the gas cylinder and the respirator. 

Before using the respirator, carefully check whether the seal is intact and ensure that it is correctly installed in the corresponding location. If the seal shows signs of wear, aging, or damage, it should be replaced in time. In addition, it is important to regularly clean and maintain the respirator and its seals to ensure its performance and longevity.
