Waterproof cover seals

  • Nitrile rubber (NBR)

If the high bay light is installed in an environment containing oil or requiring wear resistance, nitrile rubber is a good choice.

 

  • Fluororubber (FKM)

Applicable scenarios: Especially suitable for use in chemical plants or industrial plants that need to resist strong acids, alkalis, and high temperatures.

 

  • Ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM)

Applicable scenarios: Suitable for outdoor or industrial plants that need to be exposed to sunlight for a long time, and can resist the erosion of ultraviolet rays and ozone.

 

  • Silicone rubber (SI)

It has outstanding high temperature resistance, ozone resistance and weather aging resistance, and can maintain its unique use flexibility within the operating temperature range of -70 to 260°C.

 

Applicable scenarios: If the high bay light needs to be used in an environment with extreme temperature changes, silicone rubber is a suitable choice.

  • Choose according to environmental conditions: If the factory environment is humid and the temperature does not change much, you can choose nitrile rubber or EPDM rubber; if the ambient temperature is high and there is a risk of chemical corrosion, fluororubber is a better choice.
  • Consider the balance between cost and performance: The cost of nitrile rubber and EPDM rubber is relatively low, but the performance can also meet the needs of most industrial plants; while fluororubber and silicone rubber have better performance, but the cost is also higher, suitable for occasions with higher requirements for sealing performance.

 

These rubber seals are typically soft, elastic, and durable, effectively resisting the intrusion of moisture, dust, and other contaminants, ensuring the safe operation of the lighting fixture's internal components.
