Seal material requirements
Since it has to withstand the pressure of high-pressure brake fluid, the sealing material needs to have excellent pressure resistance and wear resistance. Commonly used materials include nitrile rubber (NBR), fluororubber (FKM), etc.

Maintenance and maintenance
The rubber seals of the high-pressure brake pump need to be checked and replaced regularly to avoid leakage problems caused by aging and wear. Repairs should be strictly carried out in accordance with manufacturer standards.

Cross-sectional dimension tolerance
The cross-sectional diameter tolerance of the O-ring is usually controlled within ±0.05mm. Too large tolerance will affect the preload and sealing performance of the O-ring in the groove.

 

Surface roughness
The surface roughness of the O-ring contact surface is usually required to be Ra≤0.4μm. Too rough a surface will accelerate the wear of the O-ring.

 

Hardness tolerance
The hardness of the FKM O-ring is usually controlled at 70±5Shore A. Too high hardness will affect sealing, and too low hardness will reduce wear resistance.

The standard tolerance is generally around ±0.10mm. For some key dimensions, it can be further reduced to within ±0.05mm. This is to ensure that the O-ring can fit closely with the mating surface and ensure good sealing.

Roundness tolerance
The roundness tolerance of the O-ring is generally controlled within 0.02mm. Excessive roundness deviation will cause uneven sealing contact area and affect sealing.
