What are FFKM O-Rings
FFKM O-rings are annular seals made from a perfluoroelastomer compound that has a higher fluorine content than FKM fluoroelastomers. Works like any O-ring to seal two or more parts at the interface.
Advantages of FFKM O-Rings
The low outgassing properties of FFKM rubber rings make them a good choice for vacuum sealing applications. FFKM rubber O-rings are non-flammable in the air and are self-extinguishing. They have very low permeability and explosive decompression capabilities.
They also provide good flame retardancy and sealing properties but are less resistant to cold temperatures than O-rings made from other materials.
