Products Description

EGR valve rubber seals are key sealing components used in EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve systems. They are mainly used to ensure the airtightness of the exhaust gas circulation channel to prevent gas or liquid leakage.

Advantages

  • High-Temperature Resistance

Withstands extreme temperatures from -40°C to 250°C, adapts to the high-temperature exhaust environment of the engine, and avoids seal failure caused by thermal aging.

  • Chemical Corrosion Resistance

EGR valve rubber seals use high-performance materials such as fluoro rubber (FKM) to resist acidic substances (such as NOx, and SOx), oil pollution, and coolant corrosion in the exhaust gas.

  • Precise Sealing

The dynamic and static double-sealing design ensures no leakage during the opening and closing of the EGR valve and maintains precise control of the exhaust gas recirculation flow.

  • Environmental Compliance

Meets strict emission regulations such as European standards and National VI, helping vehicles pass environmental certification.

Functions

  1. Ensure the efficiency of the EGR system:
Prevent exhaust gas leakage, ensure that the exact proportion of exhaust gas flows back to the combustion chamber, reduce the temperature in the cylinder, and reduce the generation of nitrogen oxides (NOx).

  2. Improve engine performance:
Stable sealing avoids air-fuel ratio imbalance, optimizes combustion efficiency, and reduces fuel consumption and carbon deposition risks.

  3. Extend system life:
EGR valve rubber O-ring seals can isolate external dust and moisture from intrusion, and protect the precision components inside the EGR valve (such as sensors and valve stems) from damage.

3

Structure and Position

O-rings are annular rubber seals installed at the interface between the EGR valve and the intake manifold or other connecting parts. For example, when the EGR valve is directly installed on the intake manifold, the O-ring is used to seal between the valve body and the manifold.

In some diesel engines, the valve stem guards of the EGR system are also equipped with O-rings at both ends to prevent lubricating oil leakage and ensure the stability of the exhaust gas circulation.

Materials and standards

  • Material selection must meet the working conditions, for example, fluoro rubber (FKM) is suitable for high temperatures (up to about 200°C), and nitrile rubber (NBR) is suitable for general oil environments.

  • Dimensions and tolerances follow international standards (such as AS 568A, DIN 3771, etc.) to ensure the compatibility and reliability of seals.

  • Support non-standard size, hardness (Shore A 50°-90°), and color customization to meet diverse needs.
