Downhole Tool Pressure Gauge Acid And Alkali Resistant O-ring FKM90

Downhole Tool Pressure Gauge Acid And Alkali Resistant O-ring FKM90

Downhole tool pressure gauge acid and alkali resistant O-ring FKM90
The acid and alkali resistant O-ring used in the pressure gauge of downhole tools is a key component to ensure the accurate measurement of the pressure gauge in the harsh downhole environment. It can effectively prevent acid and alkali liquids or gases from invading the inside of the pressure gauge, ensure its normal operation and extend its service life.

1. Excellent acid and alkali resistance

Fluororubber (FKM) or perfluoroether rubber (FFKM) materials are usually used. Fluororubber has excellent tolerance to most inorganic acids, organic acids, alkalis, hydraulic oils, etc. Perfluoroether rubber has even better chemical resistance and can resist corrosion from almost all chemical media including strong acids (such as hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid, etc.) and strong alkalis (such as sodium hydroxide, etc.), and can maintain stable performance in the complex chemical environment underground.

2. Good elasticity and sealing performance

Both rubber materials have high elasticity. The O-ring relies on its own elastic deformation to fill the sealing gap. When the downhole pressure changes, it can fit tightly to the sealing surface of the pressure gauge to prevent leakage. Even under the dual effects of pressure and chemical media for a long time, it can maintain good rebound performance to ensure the durability of the sealing effect.

3. Good temperature resistance

Fluororubber can work in the temperature range of -20℃ to 200℃, and perfluoroether rubber has a wider working temperature range of -30℃ to 260℃. The temperature of the underground environment varies greatly, and these materials can adapt to high and low temperature environments, and will not cause the rubber to harden or soften due to temperature changes, thereby affecting the sealing performance.

Product parameters

1. Dimensions

We provide a variety of standard sizes, with inner diameters ranging from a few millimeters to tens of millimeters, to meet the sealing requirements of different types of pressure gauges. For example, common inner diameter sizes are 3mm, 5mm, 8mm, etc., and cross-sectional diameters are usually 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, etc., which can be selected according to the specific interface size of the pressure gauge and the design of the sealing groove.

2. Hardness

The hardness range is generally between 60 and 80 degrees Shore A. Appropriate hardness can ensure that the O-ring can easily enter the sealing groove during installation, and can withstand the downhole pressure during operation and maintain good sealing contact pressure.

3. Compression and extension

The compression rate is usually between 15% and 30%, which can make the O-ring produce sufficient sealing contact pressure. The elongation rate can reach 100% to 300%, ensuring that the O-ring will not break during installation and possible stretching, maintaining good sealing integrity.

Acid and alkali resistant O-ring FKM90 accessories for downhole tool pressure gauge

FKM90 fluororubber has excellent acid and alkali resistance and can withstand the erosion of a variety of strong acids and alkalis in the well. Chemical substances such as sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide are difficult to damage it, which can effectively ensure the sealing of the pressure gauge in harsh chemical environments.

The O-ring has good elasticity and sealing performance. Its high elasticity allows it to fit tightly to the sealing surface of the pressure gauge after installation. Even if the downhole pressure changes, it can rely on its own elastic deformation to fill the sealing gap and prevent fluid leakage. It can also maintain stable rebound performance after long-term use, ensuring a lasting sealing effect.

In terms of temperature resistance, FKM90 fluororubber can work normally in the temperature range of -20℃ to 200℃. Whether the underground ambient temperature is too high or too low, it will not cause the rubber to harden or soften, thus always maintaining good sealing performance and ensuring the normal operation of the pressure gauge.

Size

There are many common sizes, with inner diameters ranging from a few millimeters to tens of millimeters, and there are also many choices for cross-sectional diameters, such as inner diameters of 3mm, 5mm, 8mm, etc., and cross-sectional diameters of 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, etc., which can be adapted to pressure gauges of different models. The hardness is generally around 90 degrees Shore hardness. The appropriate hardness makes it easy to install, and it can withstand downhole pressure and ensure good sealing contact pressure. The compression rate is usually between 15%-30%, and the elongation rate can reach 100%-300%. During installation and possible stretching, the O-ring is not easy to break and can maintain the sealing integrity.
