What are the precautions for replacing the engine mount rubber pads?
When replacing the rubber pads of the engine mount, you need to pay attention to the following:
Tool preparation
Jack: Used to jack up the engine to ensure there is enough space for operation.
Wrench: Used to remove and install screws, a 19mm socket wrench is usually required.
Rubber mats: Make sure to buy the right rubber mat for the car model, preferably from the original factory or from a well-known brand.
Safety equipment: such as jack brackets, wooden blocks, etc., are used to fix the vehicle and prevent the vehicle from sliding.
Procedure
Vehicle fixation:
Park your vehicle on flat, solid ground and tighten the handbrake.
Use a jack to lift the front end of the vehicle and place wooden or stone blocks in front of and behind the wheels to prevent the vehicle from slipping.
Remove the engine guard:
Remove the engine guard for better access to the engine mounts.
Jack up the engine:
Use a jack to jack the engine up slightly to make sure the engine doesn't sink.
You can put a wooden block between the oil pan and the engine guard, and use a jack to push against the engine guard to avoid directly pushing the engine.
Remove the old rubber pad:
Remove the screws on the engine mount, usually, there are 6 screws, loosen them in turn first, do not remove them all at once.
Remove the old rubber pad and check for aging and cracking.
Install a new rubber pad:
Install the new rubber pads to the engine mount, making sure they are in the correct position.
Tighten the screws in turn, but don't overtighten them all at once, pre-tighten all the screws first, and then tighten them gradually.
Put down the engine:
Remove the jack and let the engine return naturally.
Check again that all screws are tightened to make sure the engine mount is secure

Precautions
Safety first: Make sure the vehicle is firmly fastened to prevent the vehicle from sliding or tipping over during operation.
Avoid overtightening: Do not overtighten the screws to avoid damage to the rubber pads or engine mounts.
Check other parts: Replace the rubber pads with the engine mount and other related parts for damage or age.
Choose the right product: When buying rubber mats, choose the right original manufacturer or well-known brand product for the vehicle model, ensuring quality and compatibility.
Regular inspection: It is recommended to check the condition of the engine mount rubber pads every 6 to 80,000 kilometers, and find and replace the aging or damaged rubber pads in time.
