What is Hydraulic shaft seals

Hydraulic Shaft Seals are rubber seals that prevent fluid leakage and external pollutants from entering hydraulic systems. Seals are fitted between the shaft and housing of a hydraulic cylinder, pump, or motor to isolate and seal the hydraulic oil. Hydraulic shaft seals can tolerate high pressure, high-speed movement, temperature variations, and chemical medium degradation. The primary function is to avoid hydraulic oil leaks, minimize friction, increase system efficiency, and extend equipment life. Common materials include NBR (nitrile rubber), FKM (fluoro rubber), and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), all of which have excellent wear, corrosion, and high temperature resistance.

Production process

Mold design and processing: Create and create matching molds based on the hydraulic shaft seal's exact specs and dimensions. The mold normally uses high-precision processing technologies to verify that the seal's size and form fulfill the specifications.
Material pretreatment: Heat, dry, or soften the selected sealing material to increase its processing performance.

Packaging and shipping: After cleaning and drying, qualified hydraulic shaft seals are packaged and marked for shipment. The packaging must keep the seals intact during shipping.
