Introduction

1

The clutch release bearing seal is one of the important parts of the automobile clutch component. Its performance has a great impact on the overall performance of the automobile.

2

The release bearing seal is one of the important parts of automobiles. With the development of the automobile industry, many structural types have appeared.

3

Release bearings have developed into high-speed, high-reliability bearing units with self-aligning performance, inner ring rotation, stamped ferrules, and stamped sleeves or plastic sleeves. The weight and cost have been reduced, and componentization and lightweighting have been achieved.

Main structural types

 Ordinary (non-aligning) clutch release bearing
The structural types of this type of product mainly include stamped housing type angular contact ball bearings and single-sided rubber sealing type angular contact ball bearings. Generally, the outer ring rotates and cannot be used alone. Generally, it needs to be used with a cast iron sleeve.

Automatic self-aligning clutch release bearing assembly
The self-aligning clutch release bearing assembly has the characteristics of self-aligning, long life, lightweight, etc. It also has the function of reducing noise and reducing wear and damage to matching parts.

Causes of damaged seals

1. Overheating caused by excessive working temperature
When the free travel of the vehicle is adjusted too large, the clutch is not completely separated and is in a semi-engaged and semi-separated state. This state causes dry friction and generates a large amount of heat transferred to the release bearing. The bearing is heated to a certain temperature, and the butter melts or dilutes and flows. The temperature of the release bearing will further increase, and when the temperature reaches a certain level, it will burn out.

2. Wear due to lack of lubricating oil

In the case of no lubrication or little lubrication, the wear amount of the Clutch release bearing seal is often several to dozens of times greater than the wear amount after lubrication. As wear increases, the temperature will also increase significantly, making it more susceptible to damage.

3. The free stroke is too small or the number of loads is too many
According to the principle of fatigue damage, the longer the bearing works, the more serious the damage will be; the more times it is loaded, the easier it is for the release bearing to suffer fatigue damage. Moreover, the longer the working time, the higher the temperature of the bearing, and the easier it is to burn out, which reduces the service life of the release bearing.
