Material
This seal is mainly made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), which is a high-density, almost non-absorbent material with a very small friction coefficient and excellent lubricity. In addition, a composite material of PTFE and carbon fiber can be selected, which can improve the compression resistance, cold resistance, high temperature resistance and thermal conductivity of the product. At the same time, it is also accepted for customization, and fillers (such as carbon, glass fiber, bronze, etc.) can be specified according to the conditions to change the product performance.
Hardness
The hardness range of PTFE High Pressure Piston Cup Seal is between 60D and 64D, which provides good physical properties for the seal.

- Medium: This seal is suitable for media such as hydraulic oil, water and air.

Characteristics
PTFE has extremely high thermal stability, and decomposition is very slow and almost negligible between 200°C and its melting point. PTFE remains brittle even at low temperatures of -250°C. The long-term use temperature range is -250°C to 260°C.
In terms of electrical properties, PTFE is a highly non-polar material with extremely excellent dielectric properties. Above 0°C, the dielectric properties are not affected by frequency, temperature, humidity and corrosive gases. The volume resistivity and surface resistivity of PTFE are the highest among all plastics. Even if immersed in water for a long time, they will not decrease significantly. In air with 100% relative humidity, the surface resistivity remains unchanged.
The crystallinity of PTFE is between 50% and 80%. Its dielectric strength is almost unaffected by crystallinity and has the lowest dielectric constant, showing excellent arc resistance.
