EPDM seal rings are made of EPDM rubber and are used in extremely cold environment applications, outdoor applications, medical devices, extensive automotive applications, household appliances, electrical insulators, and water/municipalities applications.
Ethylene propylene compounds and the EPDM O-rings have good resistance to mild acids, detergents, alkalis, silicone oils, greases, ketones, and alcohol. They are not recommended for applications with petroleum oils, mineral oil, di-ester lubricants, or fuel exposure.
