Uneven color

This phenomenon is often referred to as "pigmentation" or "moire". The appearance of dark spots usually means that the filler is not evenly distributed, indicating that there may be problems with subsequent performance.

 

Particles or clumps appear in the rubber compound

If the temperature is not properly controlled during the mixing process, or the mixing time is insufficient, some incompletely dispersed particles, fillers, or vulcanizing agents may appear in the form of small clumps. These agglomerates may further affect the uniformity of the compound in the subsequent vulcanization stage, resulting in an instability of the intrinsic quality of the finished product.

For example, in the vulcanization process, the uneven distribution of the vulcanizing agent will lead to high or low vulcanization speed in some areas, resulting in inconsistent hardness of rubber products in different locations. This inconsistency will directly affect the mechanical properties and service life of the product.

 

Air bubbles and voids

Uneven mixing can sometimes lead to the formation of tiny bubbles or voids in the compound. This is because the air generated during the mixing process is not completely discharged, or the moisture in the raw material is not completely volatilized during the mixing process. This phenomenon may lead to the problem that the finished product is prone to cracking or unstable performance under stress.
