Oil Tank Manhole Rubber Gasket

Nitrile rubber: It has excellent oil resistance, wear resistance, and aging resistance, can adapt to the long-term contact of oil products in the oil tank, effectively prevents oil leakage, and is one of the commonly used materials for oil tank manhole rubber gaskets.

EPDM: Outstanding weather resistance, ozone resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance, for some oil tanks that store special oil products or are in complex environments such as outdoors, it can maintain good sealing performance and long service life.

Fluoroelastomer: It has better chemical resistance, high-temperature resistance, and oil resistance, can withstand high pressure and temperature changes, and is often used for manhole sealing of oil tanks with extremely high sealing requirements, strong oil corrosion, or harsh working environments.

Shape: mostly oval or round, to adapt to the shape and structure of the manhole, to ensure a close fit with the flange, to achieve a good sealing effect.

Size: Depending on the specific specifications of the tank manhole, the nominal diameter of the common manhole is between 400mm to 600mm, and the thickness of the gasket is usually about 3mm to 10mm.

High sealing: The oil stored in the oil tank has a certain volatility and permeability, and the gasket must be able to effectively prevent the leakage of oil and oil to ensure the safe operation of the oil tank and the quality of the oil.

Corrosion resistance: Resist the corrosion of the chemical components in the oil and the external substances that may be in contact with it, and prevent the gasket from being damaged due to corrosion and affecting the sealing performance.

Appropriate elasticity and flexibility: During the installation and use of the manhole cover plate of the oil tank, it can adapt to a certain degree of deformation and displacement, such as the thermal expansion and contraction of the oil tank, vibration, etc., and still maintain a good sealing effect.

Installation points: Before installation, it is necessary to carefully check whether the size and shape of the gasket match the manhole flange of the oil tank and whether there are defects, damages, sundries, or oil stains on the surface. When installing, it is necessary to ensure that the gasket is placed in the correct position of the flange surface to avoid dislocation or skew, and then tighten the bolts of the manhole cover plate evenly to prevent the gasket from being stressed unevenly.

Maintenance precautions: Regularly check the sealing performance of the gasket and observe whether there are signs of oil leakage. If a leak is found, the cause should be found in time, and if it is determined that the gasket is damaged, it needs to be replaced in time. At the same time, avoid the oil tank from being hit by external force or excessive vibration, so as not to affect the sealing effect of the manhole gasket.
