Sealing Material
Diaphragm seals have a wide range of applications, and their materials are mainly selected based on the use environment and requirements. The following are several common rubber seal materials and their characteristics:
1. NBR: It has good oil resistance and solvent resistance, but is not resistant to media such as ketones, esters, and hydrogen chloride. It is widely used in hydraulic brake systems with brake fluid composed of n-butyl alcohol and refined castor oil as seals, such as rubber bowls and rubber rings.
2. CR: It has excellent oil and solvent resistance and good weather resistance. It is suitable for various sealing products that come into contact with oil or are related to solvents.
3. NR: It has good comprehensive mechanical properties, cold resistance, high resilience, and wear resistance. It is also often used as a seal in hydraulic braking systems with brake fluids composed of n-butanol and refined castor oil. pieces.
4. FKM: It has outstanding heat resistance (200~250℃) and oil resistance, and can be used to manufacture cylinder liner seals, rubber bowls rotating lip seals, etc.
5. VMQ: It has outstanding high and low-temperature resistance, ozone resistance, and weather aging resistance. It can maintain its unique use flexibility, ozone resistance, and weather resistance in the operating temperature range of -70~260℃, and is suitable for making thermal mechanisms. The sealing gaskets required, such as strong light source lampshade sealing gaskets, valve gaskets, etc.
In addition to the above materials, EPDM rubber, polyurethane rubber, etc. are also widely used in the manufacture of diaphragm seals.
