How to restore the deformed Cladding O-Rings

There are four recovery methods:
1. Heat treatment method
Put the damaged sealing ring in hot water, heat it for 30 minutes, then take it out, wipe off the water, and put it in cold water to cool down. Such temperature changes can make the sealing ring tighten and restore its original shape. Of course, this method requires special attention to temperature control, otherwise it will be counterproductive.
2. Over-stretching and rebounding method
This method requires a certain basis of physics and chemistry. The specific operation steps are: suspend the damaged sealing ring, use pliers to slowly stretch it, and pull it to about 1.2 times longer than the original. Then soak the cladding O-ring in alcohol or fuel for some time, and relax it after drying.
3. Natural recovery method
Sometimes, when the seal ring is slightly deformed, it can be left for some time to recover naturally. This process takes a certain amount of time, so you need to wait patiently.
Now we have introduced three different methods of recovering the seal ring. It should also be noted that when using the seal ring, it should be used reasonably and stored properly to prevent the cladding O-rings from being damaged.
4. Replacement method
If the seal ring is severely damaged and still cannot meet the use standard after recovery, then the better way is to replace the seal ring directly. To ensure the normal operation of the equipment, it is not recommended to use the seal ring for a long time, which is not only easy to damage, but also reduces the service life of the equipment.
It is very necessary to replace the sealing ring regularly to ensure the normal operation of the equipment and improve production efficiency.
Conclusion
Everything has its service life, and the same is true for the cladding O-ring. If the service life has expired, the sealing ring will be severely deformed and fail. In this case, a new sealing ring needs to be replaced. It is recommended to replace the original sealing ring. Of course, if the deformation is not very serious, then heat treatment, over-elongation rebound, and natural recovery methods can be used to restore its shape.
